Hardware Engineer / Prototype Developer (m/f/d)
Do you prefer to build things rather than just talk about them? We combine nanotechnology, electronics development, measurement technology, and data analysis to develop intelligent sensor systems. To this end, we are looking for a proactive technical specialist with an inventive mindset who can design new solutions and develop them from concept to working prototype. If you enjoy building technology - not just planning it - you will be an excellent addition to our team.
Your Mission
You willwork on the development of new sensor systems and experimental hardware.
Typical tasks
- Development and assembly of prototypes and test systems
- Design of mechanical components and mounts (CAD)
- Assembly of electronic prototypes and test boards
- Design of small flex PCBs or development boards
- Development of bond holders and test fixtures
- Setup and execution of measurements and experiments
- Working with:
- Soldering
- Lasering
- Laser welding
- 3D printing
- Precision metalworking
- Bonding, gluing, contacting, and aligning sensor elements
- Analysis of measurement data and tests (e.g., Python)
- Improvement and further development of existing prototypes
In short: You develop hardware that didn’t exist before.
Your Profile
You mightbe a good fit for us if you
- have completed training in precision engineering, physical-technical assistance, mechatronics, electronics, or technical development.
- have several years of professional experience in technical development or prototyping.
- have experience with several of the following areas: working with small structures or components, measurement technology, CAD/design, PCB design, electronics, FEM, Python, or other data analysis tools.
- enjoy tinkering and experimenting.
- work precisely and with great care.
- take the initiative to drive projects forward
