Technical Developer / Innovation Engineer (m/f/d)
Develop technologies that make materials smart! We combine nanotechnology, electronics development, measurement technology, and data analysis to develop intelligent sensor systems. To this end, we are looking for a proactive technical specialist with an inventive mindset who can design new solutions and develop them from concept to working prototype. If you enjoy building technology - not just planning it - you will be an excellent addition to our team.
Your Mission
You will develop new sensor solutions and prototypes for our next generation of smart materials. This includes, among other things:
Conceptualization and development of new sensor and measurement systems
- Development of prototypes from design to fully functional assembly
- Design of CAD models and technical components
- Conducting FEM simulations and analytical evaluations
- Development and integration of electronic components:
- Development boards
- Flex-PCB design
- Adaptation of ESD protection structures
- Construction of complex experimental measurement systems
- Conducting and analyzing AC measurements and sensor tests
- Development of special test fixtures and bond holders
- Automation of measurement and analysis processes (e.g., Python)
- Close collaboration with hardware, software, and materials development

Your Profile
You have a broad technical background and a hands-on approach. Ideally, you bring the following to the table:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, microsystems engineering, or mechanical engineering
- Several years of experience in technical development or prototyping
- Experience with several of the following areas: FEM/simulation, CAD/technical design, electronics development, measurement technology, experimental systems
- Understanding of interdisciplinary technical systems
- Structured, precise, and reliable work style
- Intrinsic motivation and a can-do attitude
- Very good German and good English skills
